TRINIDAD

The Trinidad Chevron Tarantula, or Psalmopoeus cambridgei, is a quick, semi-arboreal species found in the tropical forests of Trinidad. Known for its bold chevron-patterned legs and rich olive-green color, it’s a striking sight in any collection. Unlike many New World tarantulas, it doesn’t have urticating hairs, relying instead on its speed and strong venom for defense. While not typically aggressive, it’s skittish and quick to bolt or display a threat posture if bothered.
