THE Avicularia purpurea, commonly known as Ecuadorian purple pinktoe is primarily from Ecuador, with recognized range extending into Colombia and northern Peru. Starting as a cute blue spiderling just like an A.versicolor, Then growing in to an adult posing with a black base and strong purple or violet iridescence sheen making the Avicularia purpurea widely valued in the hobby. Its a very docile tarantula that rarely throws up threat poses or flicks hairs that prefers to hide away instead of fighting off a predator.
