Aspinochilus rufus (ex. Phormingochilus spec. rufus ) is a particularly fascinating arboreal tarantula, known as the Peach Tree Tiger for their colouration. The body usually shows a dark brown to reddish basic coloration while the legs often have an intense reddish-brown tone. When threatened, individuals usually rely on speed, retreat, or defensive posturing, sometimes standing their ground.
