As one of the most popular arboreal tarantulas in the hobby, this species is known for its docile nature and stunning coloration. Starting off as a vibrant electric blue spiderling, it matures into a beautiful array of colors, featuring an emerald green carapace, vivid red abdomen, and purplish legs.

These tarantulas create arboreal silken webs, often found beneath bark, within tree hollows, in humid forest environments. They require humid conditions, a vertical arboreal vivarium with ample retreats, and a water bowl for drinking. Additionally, good ventilation is crucial for their enclosures, and it is recommended to decorate the enclosure with either live or artificial plants. It’s also important to note that while this species is generally docile, it can move very quickly and may jump from place to place. This species grows at an average rate and reaches maturity in approximately 1.5-2 years.
